When I found out oneiowa was the charity for this marathon it made me so happy a charity from my home state was chosen especially with how depressing my state is becoming in many aspects including LGBTQ rights, especially transgender rights. I have heard of families who've had to move out of Iowa so their trans kids can get the care they need. I hope with this donation we can get Iowa back on the right track to make my state more welcoming again.
